well i saw all theses posts on here on how u should clean ur carb so i tok it of and cleaned it out. that actually solved most of my problems. but in the process of cleanin it i jacked up the float. so i took it apart and fixed that. well i was workin on it with a freind an dhe didnt know about the two different screw types(the big one and the little one) and put the big on in the little hole. to make a long story short the metal broke where the carb attaches. and right now the carb is held on by one screw and a wad of duct tape on top of the transmission box thingy to support it. guess what it actually works its just a little just a little leaky and kinda unresponsive and hard to start. but i waws wonderin if i would do any damage to my moped running the moped with a small air leak where the carb attaches to the engine..and where do you guys think i could get a new carb for not outragously expensive.

damage can be done because, it is leaning out the mixture.

Don't run it like that, you'll hurt the engine.
This actually happens quite often.

yeah see the problem is this is my transportation. like i have to go 4 miles every day
on this
no choice and i cant walk or id have to wake up at 4 in the morning so is there anyway i can fix it . someone reccomened me solder to fill up the gap . and it first i thgout he was retarded but i thought about it and it doesnt really get that hot and there would not really be that much pressure. i am also in a manufacturing class at school and i was wonderin if i could take it of and weld the gap with an acetelyne torch. woulc that jack up and warp things inside. and does anone have any ideas on how i could temporarily fix it so it doesnt *-up my moped?
an yes i would duct tape my head shut ....WHY NOT?

definately wouldnt use the torch. hmm. this is a toughy.(for now) i would get a small pair of vise grips and use that as a clamp. not the best fix, but better then the tape. onother possability is to get some hi grade epoxy. im talking the rock hard stuff, and remold that broken piece. drill/tap. if it was me, i would just get a used, cheap carb body.
hope this helps.

I was going to suggest that, but wasn't convinced it would work. Keep an eye on it, and try to run down another body (didn't Myspree have some of these? )
If it leans out you'll trash the rings and maybe the bore. Then you're looking at a $100 problem. And you'll still have to fix the carb.
