Honda Spree and Elite 50 Forums

Ok guys, I have an '87 Elite 80 that came with tubed tires. The rims are stamped tubeless and can run them, so I purchased 3x10 tubeless tires. Now I just need to know what size tubeless valve stem to purchase that will fit. Any ideas? I called my local Kragen and they carry two sizes, .45 and .6. No idea if those are compatible. Any help would be appreciated, thx!!

there is a lot i don't know but can't you go to a bike shop and simply but tubeless stems.have the shop measure if there is a question about what to use.
are you going to put the tires on yourself? if not let the shop get the tire to hold air...

Do you remember what size you purchased?

Measure the hole in the rim. The valve stems go by hole size. 11.3 mm is standard for my 125 Elite and Helix
I would believe it to be the same on the 80cc. 11.3 mm is .05 inches so either .45 or .6 with a good rubber seal will work as long as it fits the hole.

Found Slime ones at Autozone so I purchased both sizes.

It seems to me there'd be a good living to be made selling valve stems that have a 90-degree kink in them so that gauges and fittings can be applied to the valve without having to clear the wheel hub. My front tube has such a valve, but my tubeless rear Met wheel does not. If the valve stem protrudes much more than a half-inch, it's hard to attach the pump. Links, anyone?

I was looking to change my oil in my 87 Elite scooter and opened up the wrong screw on the bottom. It is a bolt with a long spring and then a round like cylinder. I need to find out how to put it back in. In what order.

you can go to any tire stores, and employee give free stems I got from lex brodie tires

Did you find those 90 deg vales yet?

you can get a smoother ride if you run tubes.

and you can get tubes in both 90 deg. long & short stem
