pin

alright i now have a replacement pin(the little brass one in the bystarter) on the way but will it damage my spree to ride it while i have no brass pin in there? like if i just put the bystarter in there without the brass pin soudnt it seal off air and keep it from leanin out? i know i need the new one cuase i live in colorado and its gettin cold in the mornings.

You'll be running constantly with the choke on, which is too rich. May overheat the engine and toast the piston or rings.

How odea the aut-choke thing even work?(why would the choke always be on if there were no pin in there?)

It's not really a choke per se, it's an enrichment circuit. After the scoot is on for 30 seconds or so, the pin drops down and closes off the enrichment circuit.

so would it start better with it open like it is or would it run better with say a rivet or something in ther in place of a pin
