Any Express guys here?

Post by wikked_spree57 »

I need to replace the back rim on an NC50 79 Express. will the Express II wheel work? There's lots of these on eBay.

I had an issue with a nc50 2speed 1982. the center hubs on my 78 and 80 expresses were smaller but they are nu50's. BUT i was able to have the rim respoked at my local bike shop.
so I guess what I'm saying is they very in size but if the rim is not wacked the spokes can be replaced

good luck . btw we have 3 expresses and love them all ..

still looking for a express sr50 ...it is the hybrid between sprees and express bikes google an image its sweet

I was just asking because I have a customer's bike here needing a rim replacement. I can't decipher that forum, noisy.

Just looking for a straight up answer, what fits the 79 Express and what doesn't?

Jeez, beats me. I'd start looking through parts fische online and see what looks interchangable based on parts.

The Expresslymoped site is a complete mess, I agree. You're best off just asking a question there rather than searching. Last time I had to find something I just paged through to the date I thought it had been posted.

I wish there was a way to "harvest" the site and get the data into a good searchable database. But I think that is impossible. If anyone can figure out a way, I'll host it here. There's a lot of good stuff on there.

You could try Mopedarmy, but that place is hit-or-miss. They do consider the Express a moped now, though, as well as the QT50 and the ilk. That's new; they used to be pedal purists a few years back and snubbed those bikes.
