Anyone know if there are reed valves for the dio or elite that will fit onto my 86 Aero NB50?
I believe the shape is different but im not entirely sure if i would need a new reed block to hold them
and if that would even match my intake mani. let alone if theres even any available.
Also, since im new... Hello!

Greetings:
DayWot may have a few SE05 reeds left. Lots of Euro online scooter shops carry Malossi and Polini reedvalve petals still. You're searching for Honda Vision 2-petal "square" reeds. May I suggest you order the 0.35mm. You should look into procuring the gaskets before you tear things down. As installed at the factory 22 years ago, they are unlikely to come off undamaged. Grease your new ones and you can re-use should you wish to disassemble again.
The 1985 US Aero had essentially an SB50 intake and reed block, but the '86-'87s and the Vision should be the same. The Vision
Met-In appears to be the Euro version of early Elites, which used a 3-petal block but with only 2 retaining screws. 1994-later US Elites used 3 petals and 3 screws. Just remember "Vision".
Here's an old pic of some I made:
In later editions I produced a "mono-reed", elimimating the splits. It was a whole lot less work, the reeds lasted longer, and there was no performance penalty.

By browsing some euro websites, I found that Polini makes a reed valve cage that would fit af05e,
and changes the stock, 2-petal design into the updated 3-petal later model style, making availability easier....

Greetings:
That reed sure looks like it'll fit the 05 case, but look again. The reed block on the 05 has a "lip" on the cylinder side that is about 3/16 wider. The bolt hole pattern is the same, but an AF16 reed block will leave a strip of case port that's about 1/8" wide uncovered. You can fabricate an adaptor from plate stock of any kind, but if you go to all that trouble, you might as well run a CT Chrome or other aftermarket AF16 Manifold and bigger carb. I recommend 17.5, 19 or 21mm, depending on pipe. The polini block is an upgrade from stock - perhaps, but even at that price it won't flow like a double-reed, and you're sort of limited to Arreche-for-Honda carb choices.
