hello, I am missing one of the bolts that connect the carb to the intake manifold. My spree starts fine but im wondering if that bolt could cause performance issues? anyone know what size this bolt is? i tried a 1/4 bolt and it doesnt fit. Also, another problem im having is the electric start is not working. I dont have a battery so when i hook the spree up to jump it, i get nothing. Using the kickstart it fires up and all lights work fine, but with the battery charger connected to the spree, i get nothing, no horn, lights etc. What puzzles me is that when i turn the key the turn signals and everything should work without the motor running correct, as long as there is power?

hooking the battery charger to the wires will not work dude. get a battery see what happens. and the bolt size is metric 6X1.00 pitch. the just get the length you need.

Check the bike for a blown fuse. The taillamp should come on when you switch the key on. Brake light, horn and signals should be operable. Headlight is run off one of the stator coils, so it only lights when the motor is running.

If the fuse is good, the rectifier may be bad. I'd also check the battery, they're pretty cheap for these bikes.

i'd avoid running it without the bolt in the carb. :nervous: this could cause a vacuume leak and in turn lean out your fuel mixture, leading to melty piston and fried rings.
