Re: need help with oil issue
Greetings:
Welcome to the Forum.
The only oil in permanent residence on your "E" lives back in the gearcase. There's a 12mm bolt back there that serves to check the level as well as a filling port. It can be drained by lying the scooter all the way on its left side. A squirt bottle of some sort is required to fill. Honda recommends 10W-30 automotive engine oil.
Lubrication duties for your 2-stroke engine are served by the oil pump, fed by the reservoir behind the fuel tank. Honda recommends its GN-2 product. It is a total-loss and quite Politically Incorrect system, and so a big reason why many of the major manufacturers abandoned 2-stroke scooter engines for the USA. Yamaha's Zuma is the sole survivor among the Japanese Big Four, although Aprilia and some Korean and Chinese makers still offer smokers.
