Starting to dislike Craigslist

Post by wikked_spree57 »

They really need to make it mandatory there to post a phone number. I've been trying to contact several people with Sprees and parts all weekend and I never get answers on anything to my e-mails. Yet, if someone e-mails me, I respond right away since my e-mail goes right to my phone.

Kinda stupid, eh?

Craigslist Kvetches

Post by Wheelman-111 »

Greetings:

I guess most CL users don't spend every moment of every day thinking eating dreaming and breathing scooters.

How can people live that way?!

Yeah. I like Craigslist cause I've made lots of money, but the headache makes me break even.

I have an iPod Nano 5th gen on there right now and some idiot called and offered me a junk cell phone and a bag of weed, I told him to get lost.

Half the people that show interest in my stuff back out right before the deal is closed anyways.

Indeed, but I don't take anything along those means from people I don't know.

sure I realize I'm admitting a bad habit alot of people would frown upon, but hey it gets me away from everything.

In fact, someone offered my friend a half pound for his car trailer, and he don't even as little as smoke cigarettes. He really got annoyed for that one.

Anyways... :b2t:

 I would have bought the trailer from my friend then called the dude w/ the half and made the deal

But lets get back on track: I personally like calling people about things on CL better because it is way easier to arrange meeting times and chat about prices, etc. However I understand those that do not put in numbers because they don't want to deal with the occasional annoying/creepy calls.

Personally I try to never give out address and other info over email so if some one emails me about an item I have up for sale I tell them to then call me or give me their number to call. In the end it just depends on preference and experiences i guess.
