squeaking noise

My Spree makes a squeaking noise when running at a low speed, or accelerating from a stop. I thought it was the brakes at first, but they don't squeak when I use them, and I never here the noise when they're on. I sprayed the wheel axles with silicone spray, but that didn't make any difference. Anyone had a problem like this before?

Does your spree seem to hesitate a little before it takes off. If it does its possible your drive belt is stretching and isn't quite as tight as it was.
Your clutch might also be going out. I never had that problem so I am just guessing at a cause.

Sounds like front wheel bearings. See if the noise is coming from the front wheel. Spraying them with WD40 won't rule out front bearings.

I figured it out. The previous owner replaced the rear tire with one that is too big, so it drags all the time on the kick stand, when it is up. I'm gonna replace the tire. Glad it wasn't anything serious.

if ur spree squeks when its not moving but idleing or accelerating and lackes power u need a new head gasket. mine did the same thing. if it squesks while it son the kickstand runnin u might check into that.

yeah, it doesnt squeak when it's on the kick stand. And I think I will get more speed once I fix it. I was also wondering why I use gas so quickly, and I think that has a lot to do with it. It's like I constantly have the rear brakes on.
