Going to look at a 84 Aero
Going to look at an 84 Aero. No title dude says It runs bad I don't even know what it looks like yet but, It's only $100 Wish me luck! What kind of nosale problems should I look for?

Need parts? Parting out Spree Aero and Elite!

Re: Going to look at a 84 Aero
Rare Aero years were 83-84. Pretty hard to find nice parts for them. I'm not aware of any go fast parts at all for those years.martynkim wrote:Going to look at an 84 Aero. For only $100 I can't believe (but I hope I'm wrong) your getting much.
Hopefully it's a runner or I would pass.
I'd rather be riding my Aero!

I have a 84 Aero, she runs ok, I have cleaned the carb almost evey spring, I have Bystarter troubles now, and finding the parts...almost impossible!, I have owned mine for over 15 years so I cannot say much bad.but parts are a huge problem.
My 2 cents

Re: Going to look at a 84 Aero
Greetings:
For $100 I would purchase said 1984 Aero, restore it over time, and mount it in a glass case for worship. It's the Grand-Daddy of Honda-san's foray into the U.S. 50cc Smoker market. Older even than the esteemed Spree design, and arguably the nicest styling job of all the Aeros.

Running or not, if the body is decent, I would buy it. You can swap in a newer afo5 and there are some go fast goodies for that still.
