found an issue with my spree motor today. swapped my belt today and as i went to spin the motor to make sure the front pulley was straight and it locks up. funny thing is i havent done any motor work since last summer and i have ridden it since then, my best guess is that i may have knocked something inside the jug while putting on the exhaust or the new plug. so now i have to dismantle the motor and hope i dont damage the gaskets. wish me luck guyz.

well what ever it is its down inside the case so i need to crack it open. :( i have never done this so i guess i need a puller to get the magneto? off(deal under the fan) then use it again to pull the case apart? yay!!! what am i getting into?.

ok i got the top half off and all looked good there, i can get almost a full rotation out of it, i dont think its in the case itself. i think maybe something is out of adjustment on the alternator. or something is stuck to it not allowing it to rotatae completly. i still need to get the flywheel off, need to borrow the neighbors puller and get some bolts to fit the flywheel.

Gear puller or steering wheel puller? I paid $10 for my puller at Harbor Freight. Only used it once. Sad.

i figured it out it turned out to be the magnet was hitting the pick up, so all i had to do is push the magnet back a little use 2 playing cards to space it and its good to go, rode it today and well there is something amiss. either the carb needs a good soaking or i have an air leak somewhere.
