where can i get honda spree battery??

anyone know where i can get a battery for my 1985 honda spree scooter? i went to autozone but they dont carry anything like that. i know if i go to a honda dealership they will overcharge me. but a friend of mine said i can go to wal mart and get a lawnmower battery as long as its the same size. anyone hear/know anything about this?

The auto parts stores should have the right size. It may not be in their computer for a Spree, but for other scooters, motorcycles, snowmobiles etc. Get your battery details from the manual to take in with you and you should be golden.

yeah i brought the batter w me and they said they didnt carry anything that small and couldnt even charge it or anything. can u tell me what autoparts store would carry it?

Walmart should have the battery walmart tire center had it in there computers.

i got mine from a local motorcycle store. he filled it for me and everything.

Just went to Autozone on my lunch break. Try part number: GT4LBSFP at your local store.

You could also check to see if you have a Batteries Plus store nearby.

I would recommend getting an AGM (sealed maintenance free) type. Also look for Yuasa brand and stay away from made in China batteries.

Yes, I have seen many come into my garage with these everstart batteries (maintenance free battery). I think someone told me they come with a warranty too(never bought one myself).

I second this. I've never seen a motorcycle or ATV shop that didn't stock the Spree battery.

I have, but then again, I can't even get Buell parts at my local HD shop. Any shop with a Parts Unlimited catalog can order one for you (I buy mine from an Arctic Cat dealer).

You can get a $40 rebranded Yuasa at any wally world that sells car batteries.

the sealed battery sounds better. i need a new one anyway.
