Headlight issues
Today put a new battery in my 86 spree so I could ride it at night without having to keep the rpm up the keep the lights on. The battery works great my blinkers work fine and I have aux lights under the frame and they stay on fine but the head light still dims when I stop. Is this supposed to happen? It sounds dumb if it is but what could be wrong with it?

Re: Headlight issues
It's inherent in the design of the power system for the headlight.
The Headlight is not powered by the battery at all. It runs from a separate coil from the stator, and is fed AC. At low rpm, the output is below the normal operating voltage of the bulb, hence a dim output.
