Honda Spree and Elite 50 Forums

Hey everyone!
My 86 NQ50 no longer charges my battery while I'm driving around. I replaced the battery with a brand new one, but still at the end of the day it will be dead if I've been driving around. I am stuck recharging it alot with my float charger. Anyone know what parts may need to replaced? Or any procedures to try and narrow down the source of the problem?

Any suggestions are GREATLY apperciated, as you guys have always been great!

P.S. I apologize if this is a repeat question, but when I searched it I couldn't find much on the topic.

In the manual in the electrics section there are test for the regulator rectifier and stator, the two main componenets of the charging system. Then again the battery could be bad and not holding a charge.
