The iowa scooters are usally restricted in some way so it will only do 25mph now.
But for fifty bucks? Do you really have to ask?
Buy it. buy it before I do

all you would have to do is remove the restrictions, which usually involves grinding out a washer in the exhaust pipe, opening up a second hole in the air box, remove the restriter plate from the variator, and upjetting the carb. and you can take that 25 mph iowa to a 35-40 mph elite

well i just bought an 89 elite e for 400 kinda rough but basically all cosmetic except the airbox is missing which i have allready found one.... going to school for auto body so the plastic repair is nothing so i was just wondering if the elite iowa parts will fit on my elite e...... that way i can keep it for parts... otherwise the guy will just part it out himself

they should fit. just have to derestrict the exhaust, and airbox, and variator.. if it has one. i forget. and upjet the carb. and then everything should fit

Key word being usually. This is one of those times where a pic is worth a thousand words. I say buy it because If you are going to school for auto body, surely you can handle making a measly moped engine mount to swap in the entire engine. It depends on what elite he has.

My 87 Elite was an Iowa model, had a restrictor plate in the trans. Should be a variated machine. might be more worth sinking money into then the Elite E.
