Crash repair.

well, my elite 50s took a turn for the worst as it smashed into the ground and slid down to road tonight. my brother was trying his hand a wheelie when he lost control and ate s***. needless to say, i am not happy about this. the previous owner had crashed it before, but not like this. Somehow my handlebars managed to turn to a 90degree from straight position as it slid down the road. Now it will turn 90 degrees to the left and about 45ish to the right (which was normal before). I took the front cover off but couldn't see any damage to the steering, though I am still not convinced. is there anything to look for, or suggestions?
Also, I had my clutch cover off for some work I was doing to it and hadn't gotten around to putting it back on. is there anything to look for specifically as it did slide about 15 feet down the road on the left side. I am hoping the kick starter kept it off the ground.
Other damage included a large hole ripped into an otherwise mint condition seat, scratches down the back panel, an even more broken front turn signal housing, and even more bent rear brake lever, the headlight is badly scratched up, and hopefully that is it.
There went my hopes for selling it for $300
