Honda Spree and Elite 50 Forums

My Honda spree is running low on oil (the oil that it mixes with the gas, not the gear oil). Can it take any 2 stroke oil or does it only take the "Honda" brand?

Of course Honda says use theirs, but any 2 stroke injector oil for air cooled engines will work. DO NOT use outboard engine oil or any oil rated TCW-I, II or III, these are designed for water cooled engines that run at 143┬░ and air cooled 2 strokes run anywhere from 200┬░ to 350┬░ or warmer.

Of course you can't go wrong using Honda GN2, but any 2 stroke oil that mentions injector or injection on the label will do fine.
