87 Spree Carb Adjustment
What do you recommend for carb adjustment on an 87 Spree? How many turns with the top and bottom screw? Do you turn it all the way in crank it out 1 1/2 turns? Thanks ahead of time!

Re: 87 Spree Carb Adjustment
Greetings:
Spec is around 1.5 turns, read the Manual to confirm. That can change with non-stock jets. (Or with a dirty carb...) However 2 precautions:
1. Go easy on the Wheaties before you turn it in. The needle tip is brass and easily deformed. Light finger torque only.
2. Once fully warmed up, turn in/out by 1/16 turn increments and wait at least 10 seconds to determine effect on idle speed. Adjust to highest idle speed, then check for best throttle uptake response. Sometimes that occurs an eighth turn in or out from highest idle.
