Well this week end I was at mid Ohio vintage motorcycle swap meet, and turned up to sweet finds, one was a 99% complete 1986 spree in black, for 50 bucks, then I walked around a bit and found a whole parts spree in a box, also an 86, for you guessed it 50 bucks. the only thing missing was the frame and fork. I even got the handle bars. so I stole a couple fasteners from the box of stuff and a throttle cable for the 99 percent complete one. After a compression check and some tinkering, I found it was not pulling fuel. so after investigation, I found a ton of crap in the tank and no fuel strainer, so the vacuum petcock was clogged. a good flush and away she went. Now the problem, the wife rode it, and now she wants one, so I am now considering a build up with the huge parts bin, basically I think just about everything is there, so I need a frame and fork if anyone has one. This was just what I need, lol another project and another forum,LOL thanks guys in advanced. By the way I am going to order the bbk kit tonight.

great find!! :2thumbs: and welcome to the forum :peace: sounds like you are well on your way to being a spreeadict. as long as you are getting the bbk grab up the stage 1 gears for the spree, see if you can also track down the SB50 intake and reeds(hard find) as it will increase the airflow in. gaskets are hard to get for the spree as they dont make them anymore but the same guy that makes the bbk also will be cutting gaskets for the spree!! awesome right.! keep us posted on your build and please with pics. we like pics. o and show us the runner.!! have fun and ride safe. :coolcruise:
