hello. i put my 48 bbk on my spree and its running well. my starter motor wont turn the engine over fast enough to fire it up. anyone else have this issue? i tried the starter off my other spree also, same thing. i have 125 lbs compression. i did open my starter up to have a look and cleaned it out. my battery is holding well above 11 volts while im cranking.
its an 84 with no kicker, i think i will have to add kick start. what do you guys think? thanks chris

Although I have a Elite E with kick start with the 48mm bbk. Mine did have a little bit of an issue starting at first but now into my 3rd tank of fuel it seems to be fine. It dose hesitate a little still when you first fire it up in the mornings. Also make sure your cables are cleaned well it will help get the amps to the starter.

Get a kickstart ASAP.

Or find a place to add a second battery. Rebuilding the starter probably wouldn't hurt either.

On what planet? A truely fully charged battery, sitting static should have better than 12.5 volts, so how will 12.5 volts charge it to full capacity? Battery charging voltage is 13.5 to 14.5 volts. Where do you get you information?

What air filter are you using?

put a pod filter on it, and take the stock box off if you want to continue using the 100 main jet. i can get you a new k&n filter for 20$ shipped in a chrome color. let me know!
if you want to use just the stock box, rejet to a 95 see how that goes. do plug chops along the way too!
