Honda Spree and Elite 50 Forums

I have a 89 elite sb50p, I know that they are not mutch to work with ,But I would like to get input from some of you guys. The engine is a non variated AF05E. The scooter has 7400 miles on it. The exhaust has no washer in the pipe.numbers on the exhaust are, HMGS6 ,HONGS60050 and J2 .I have blown the carbon out of it and it seems to be good. I would like to get BBK,nothing radical. Jets for the carb, oil pump plug,2.75 -3.00 tire unless you think gears should added instead. I just want it a little faster say 38 -40 mph? It runs 30 mph on the flat now. I want to do it right the first time, and willing to pay a decent price for good quality bolt on parts with little to no mods.Can you help me out with suppliers ,brand names, part numbers,and prices.Agin,I would like to thank you guys for any help you could give.

Up until a few months ago, there were no Go-slightly-faster Spree/SB options. Then Tazland introduced 44 and now 48mm big-bore kits along with a set of taller gears. As far as anyone knows, there are no other options for upgrading your E. With a tunable Arreche 17.5 or 19 mm carb and perhaps a homebuilt pipe, it may be possible to touch 40, albeit with some compromise on take-off.

Your other option is a swap to a variated engine. This requires fabrication of an engine mount and shock relocation. So equipped, the speed is limited only by the limits of the swapped engine, but keep in mind the small brake diameter. There can be too much of a good thing, sometimes.
