Spree Trans and Crnkcase bearings - the same size?

Hi,
I have an 87 Spree that I'm rebuilding. I pressed out the transmission cover bearing and measured it getting 35mm OD, 15mm ID & 11mm thick. I'm also planning on replacing the bearing in the crankcase but find it isn't available or price is not listed), so I searched on the 6202 designation for grins. (the Honda code for the crankcase bearing is 6202UU, for the transmission bearing its code is 6202, it seems like the only difference between the two is one is sealed and the other is not).
If that's the case, why couldn't one just order a regular old 6202 sealed bearing and just remove the seals for the transmission application and leave it on for the crankcase.?
You can't beat the price $1.89 (see link below)
