What would you feel comfortable paying for one of these? I see them going for as high as 2,000 on ebay for what that's worth. This one is pretty clean but apparently needs the timing fixed to run properly. Thanks for the advice...

Greetings:

Nostalgic Collectors are jacking up the prices on these things. To own one? Yes 4x the asking price of a new one back in the day. To ride one? They kinda suck, both on the trail and on the road. Didn't stop me from putting 12,000 miles on mine with a 4-month riding season.

Thanks,

It looks like they are a lot of fun but I'll have to take that into consideration. The guy is asking 550 for it..

That's a normal asking price. 77's are not in the collector range of years, IMHO. Seems like 69-72 are the collectable ones. Especially the CT70H 4 speed manual models, 70-72.

I'd offer $400 and see what happens.
