Honda Spree and Elite 50 Forums

when my spree is on idle, i can hear a quiet sound of what i believe is the piston knocking the cylinder walls... this is an old bike so would it make sense to by new compression rings? before i do anything im going to take it to school and measure the current rings to see if its within service limits.
Do you think im doing the right thing or are there other possibilities? ADVICE WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

Check your compression b/f you tear into it. Are you sure you don't just have an exhaust leak?

when you say exhaust leak do you mean exhaust coming out through where the gasket is..., or a crack in the pipe...
