KICKSTART QUESTION

I have a 86 spree and a 94 elite 50. Some where I saw that someone said that the kickstart from a elite would work on a spree? Can someone please explain this to me because I am in need for a kickstart for the ol spree-bird

the elite and the spree kickstartes will not interchange. i have an exptra spree sickstart but it needs a new gear.

Would either of you mind giving a step by step guide on how to convert an 84 or 85 into kickstart? I"m having trouble searching the forums for that info.
