Honda Spree and Elite 50 Forums

i saw on craigslist a Honda Express 50cc for sale. it's an '81, garage kept and with only 1 or 2 owners throughout its life. it starts & runs well, electric/lights work. they're asking 300. go for it? what are things with this particular scoot I need to look out for, if it has problems aside from the common 2stroke issues?

i'm super excited and am going to look at it later this week.

Be sure it has an airbox. If it does not it wont run correctly. They are difficult to find and cost $$$$$ when you do.

A lot of parts are still available. Treatland had quite a lot of stuff like pipes and big bore kits and replacement headlights. be sure not to run without a taillight or you will blow your headlight. And the starter spring can break but it is a fairly easy fix, you tube search honda express kick start and you can convert it to a kick start. The carb is very close to the spree too.
