This is my $40.00 craigslist find. Purchased as 'Not Running'. Got it running the first day. Kickstarter was locked up, now working fine. Tore down and cleaned the Carb. Worked on a minor wiring issue. Couple hours worth of work and the first ride took it 35mph. Basic needs now are Tires, Mirrors, Front Brake Cable, Rear Brake Lever, Battery (with wiring fix). After that it is mostly cosmetics. I plan on keeping this as 'Stock' as possible for obvious reasons.

I had one of those in the Shasta white/Lollipop when they came out. My parents let me have it for my newspaper route as a kid. I hated the color. My buddy, and I rode the snot out of it, and kept it really clean, but my parents would NOT let me paint it. In the Summer if 1990 my buddy carl, and I were jumping our BMX bikes off of a dock with life jackets on them to keep them floating when they hit the water....
Then we got this AWESOME idea!...

Slow at the moment - Very happy we got as far as we did.
Parts are starting to be ordered. Looking at needs versus wants.
Started wetsanding the plastics. Great results, but very tedious.
Getting the exhaust 'Hot Dipped' to clean it inside and out before painting.
Getting ready to tear it apart and start doing all sorts of maintenance items as listed in the service manual.
Should be sandblasting the wheels soon. Having a bear of a time trying to loosen up the front brake cable.
Keep in mind that I was running full steam ahead on my CT70 restoration, and now this.......
Just got the head and jug back, so now I need to finish assembling the motor.
All in all - we are doing quite well - except for Winter coming and not having a heated shop.
