To my knowledge, you are substituting a restricted variator for another restricted one. I was certain the P in the model number were the restricted ones released by Honda to keep it at 25-30 for the moped laws in some states. I believe the variator backplate for these are flat and do not allow the belt to hit top gear.
I would just get a keli variator that comes with weights... 9g I think. But if you have the P model, then you have other restrictions as well.

Read about it on this forum. It's all over on how to de-restrict them. Top of my head its the variator, exhaust pipe, oil pump cable (or lack thereof), and a main jet in the carb. May be more but I think that is the bulk of them.
Or maybe its not restricted anymore. How fast does it go on a flat?

so i heard that i have to modify my 1985 honda spree if i wanna add another 10-15 horses, which makes sense. But i was wondering if i could do anything with a stock engine to add more power and mph without any modifications? thanks.

The spree engine makes under 3hp stock.
There is nothing you can do to ADD 10-15 HP for free.

I sense this just might be a Troll. OK, I'll bite:
Can I get Flash to hang with my buddies' Hayabusas? I'd prefer not to have to adjust anything, including my mirrors. They're set
just so right now.
On a related note, maybe you can help me convert my Family Truckster into a Bugatti Veyron? Without opening the hood?

Oh yes ....I almost forgot you can buy wheelman's
POWERBAND for your spree. Easy 15-20mph faster in the 1/8th mile.

the acme products also work great for the spree.

Irrelevant question, but what do you have a 4 stroke motor for your avatar?
These would be better.
