What he said. Im doing it the hard way on my '84 by upgrading the stock engine and tranny. But everyone is telling me swap in a different motor ie a dio. If you want to go faster than 40+ then dont try to do it on the stock engine, im hearing its not realistic. But after im done with upgrading mine in a few months i hope to prove em wrong

The easy route is to swap in and bolt up a different motor, something that is variated.

It is posible some people here are 2 quick 2 give up and take the easy way out 40mph aint that hard 2 get 2 with the spree motor use the parts above some porting 2 the jug and a good exhaust and your away laughing watch the tuning people think im lieing but my spree does 52mph but i hav a custom vari fitted 2 it exstensive work 2 motor was needed like boring crank case 2 suit a larges crank a custom spacer 4 the jug getting the rear gear shaft that the clutch bolts 2 extended 2 line up with new position of the variater and a custom cover 4 it all which has been the hardest part of all and are still working so dont give up like others here do
