Just split the cases on my 86' spree, and I think there is damage where the oil pump shaft enters the case. I have never split one of these motors, so i'm asking the more knowledgable folk here to help me out. It seems as though material is missing/broken away. Please let me know what you think. Thanks.

That casting has some sharp edges in there, but everything looks normal to me.
