My sons and I are going to Hawaii the first week of April. Anything recommended to see and or do? They are 10 and 12. I am sure we will hit some of the usual tourist things but am looking for suggestions. Anything off the beaten path or local eats to recommend?
TIA

Honolulu has a lot of the scooter shops that get mentioned here. You could check a few of those out.
I've been there once, for a day. I went to see the sunken ships at Pearl Harbour. Past that, it's beach and mountains. Beach near Honolulu is convenient and the bus system is very good (I didn't bother renting a car for the day I was there.)
Have fun!

Honolulu is a huge over populated island with plenty of traffic and bs. If your going there for shopping its *, but if your going to see beaches and stuff I would go to maui or kauai. The big island has tons of lava and a active volcano

I like Kauai. It's quiet.
