I was driving my scooter and sitting at the lights, i had plenty of throttle on so it didnt stall. went to go and it died.
had to push it home, simply turned over and wouldnt start. took by starter off and the little o ring had fallen off, put it back in. Then noticed intake manifold that carb is attached to had only the short screw attaching it. replaced bolt and attempted to start. same thing would not start.
Took carb off and cleaned, still wouldnt start. checked spark and sparks ok. tried to start.. wouldnt work... took head off and a little carbon around spark hole, cleaned off and tried to start.. still wont. spark plug tip is black from carbon but sparks. do i replace? tried to start with no exhast on... wont start.
What do i do!! help! just got it going now its stopped

You said you cleaned the carb. Did you unscrew the jets and clean them thoroughly. Can you see light through the little holes in the jets? Is there a gasket between where the manifold attaches to the carb? If there isn't their should be. I would also put in a new sparkplug. Also make sure your bystarter is seated properly and tight.

it just wont rev properly wen i crank it, im almost sure that its a vaccum leak, how can i tell for sure?

The rubber ring on the heat insulator that sits between the manifold and carb, is that supposed to be facing the carb or the manifold?

You do have a clean air filter installed correct? If not , that could be your problem.

I reread your post and you mentioned you took off the cylinder head. You did use a new gasket when you put it back together right? If not you could have a leak there.
