Great bargain find! NQ50D

Newbie here and first time scooter owner (actually its for my wife). While visiting Orange CA, I browsed Craigslist and found a Spree (white and lt green version) for sale at $75!! Doesnt run but kicks over. Got it for $60!!! Sweet deal! All that was wrong was a broken battery wire (lights, starter, horn circuit), high float level and plugged choke inlet in the bowl. Starts right up! Also, it is in great condition, complete and only 233 miles! Wow! So, I take it apart in 45 minutes into 3 boxes. My cousin there will ship it to my place in Michigan. Perfect scoot for my wife. Now, I'll have to find one to go puttin around with her. Maybe a black out custom Spree or a Ruckus??

Wow awesome find!! If im not mistaken that color scheme is real hard to find nowadays.

Thanks! I got it running with the help of the board. I'll just clean it up and ride it. No customizing. If I find another cheap one, I'll customize that one.

The lollipop green/shasta white spree is a special edition and of higher value. I am envious.

Yeah, after reading up on Sprees, I learned it was a special/limited edition. Even the PO knew it. So, I'll have to do a proper restoration to do it justice. It's still in boxes in Cali. I will definitely post progress pics! I can't wait. But I may just do a cleanup so I can ride it. Winter time here in Michigan is the best time to wrench.

Thanks, I'll keep you in mind. For sure, I'll need a mirror. Then, the front lollipop decal peeled off. Seat is trashed. For a correct seat, I need the light grey vinyl cover. For now, I got a black seat. Finally, I need a white petcock cover. I may have to shop my usual vintage Honda sources. Anyone know the part number?

It's missing the decal on the front cover and the seat cover is the wrong color. That's the only two incorrect items. No biggie! I can get a decal from the dealer.

WOW !!!!.....whadda nice CL 200...........Spree is fabulous......seat cover get anywhere...you sure the dealer will have the sticker???.......I dunno.....so you got everything but the frame?? that one lost me ......how do I see this??.......49-65-hike...........................
