84 spree not running right

it will start only if the idle and jet screw is realy sett realy off and the carb being half choked i taped half the hole. any sugestions? i cleaned the carb checked the plug. and while im here where do i get a voltage regulater for a spree. mine burnt out

Your carb isn't clean... check for light coming through all jets.

the carb is clean i cleaned it so many times i cant count anymore

Well then, you should be able to see light through the idle jet... right?

ummm it seems like u need to be looking for some C4 to blow it up... that solves everything.. lol j/p wait i am going to go look for some now
