Took a pic of this today while trudging through the scooter section of the closest bike boneyard. Looks like whats left of an aero, had an ab07 engine stamp. (Weird trans/kickstart but 4 bolt intake.

What pic? ABO7 is a glorified Spree motor.

The '83-84 nb50 used a variated ab07e engine. I do not know if there are multiple versions like there are with the nq50 af05e and the nb50 af05e.

Pull the belt cover and let us know.

Greetings:

The '83 Aero was Honda's first popular US market scooter. It had a variator and unique 40x40 bore & stroke. Not a glorified Spree at all, though less powerful than the later AF engines.
The '84 Spree was his answer to perceived demand for a smaller, more affordable entry-level scooter. Performance difference wasn't big enough, so the '85 Aero moved the variated line upmarket.

AB07 is the motor for Honda Tact early models.
