Honda Spree and Elite 50 Forums

After discussing it with the owner of the board, it is time to put together a spreadsheet listing what works with the BBK's and individual results. This spreadsheet would bring together a lot of the information on specific setups and would be posted to the wiki and hopefully answer a lot of questions.

Ideally this will be specific to single speed sprees with the 44 or 48mm BBK's.
Maybe someone else can do one for stock bores.

Post your info in the following format please:

Bore (44, 48)
Head (early or late and mods)
Intake and reeds (stock, ported, SB, etc.)
Carburetor (stock - jetting, clip position or other)
Airbox (stock, modified?, pod, etc.)
Oil pump (stock, premix or both)
Exhaust (stock, modified or other)
Porting (stock or altered)
Gearing (aftermarket or stock, if known 6.917:1 or 6.385:1)
Results (either seat of the pants or top speed )

Notes (things like compression PSI, extra head or base gaskets needed, other things you feel important)

Anything else missing here?

1986 Honda Spree SE
Bore- 44mm
Head- stock '85
Intake and reeds and carb- full SB conversion, 95 main jet
Airbox- unifilter pod
Oil pump- premix and pump, still break in so maybe 25 or 30:1 will reduce to approx 32:1
Exhaust- stock
Porting- stock
Gearing- stock, 3x1 tires, moderate pulley mod
Results- top speed is currently unknown, acceleration is increased

notes: still on break in, further changes will be made when baseline is established

Bump, anyone else? so far I have two entries, my own and SPREEtown, I was hoping to have 10 or so different setups so people could compare and answer some of their own questions.

stock carb,exhaust(with a little of the baffles removed)

stock air box 5 -1/2 holes drilled in the lid

not running as it should not sure why other here have reported speeds in the upper 30's mine is in the lower to mid 30's not sure why.

Premix 1 oz oil to each tank along with injector

Take off a bit slow to 10 mph. Then very quick to 30 mph. Top speed of 36 - 38 mph in 50 - 80 degree farenheight weather. Top speed of 44 mph in 35 degree farenheight weather. Both top speeds are gps verified, and the 44 mph was also verified by the East Greenwich Police radar gun (no ticket, just a warning with a laugh)
