is it possible for 2 stroke oil to go bad over time, also sometimes when i hit the start button that one gear doesnt pop out it just spins?

look over the fourms we have major disscussion about this.

IF THE OIL IS SEALED IT HAS AN INDEFINITE SHELF LIFE.
YOUR STARTER "BENDIX" (THE PART THAT MOVES OUT TO ENGAGE THE STARTER GEAR) IS PROBABLY DIRTY. CLEAN WITH CARB CLEANER AND THEN SPRAY WITH WD40 AND SEE IF IT DOESN'T LOOSEN UP AND SLIDE EASILY.
