Just got my starter motor, pinion drive belt and battery. Now I am realizing there is no place to put the key in on my bike, but I see the wires.
What wires have to touch so that the bike will be able to turn over the starter motor?

I dont know what year and model scooter you have but in the schematic for a 85 spree it looks like there are only 2 wires at the ignition, a black/white and a green. You should be able to just jumper the 2 wires together.
Hold the left brake and hit the starter button.
(Who's scooter are you stealin??)

It looks to me like the Red and Black are connected when the key is in the 'ON' position and the white/black and green are connected together when the key is 'OFF'

ha.... when you keep em unplugged you dont need a key... just unplug the ignition and kickstart it and go... thats why sprees are so darn easy to steal... all it takes is a 10mm socket...
neeed to bbbbbbbuy the stuff

electrolyte didn't come with my battery, says so online -- where can i buy this stuff??? I WANNA RIDE!!!
I have a budle of wires not hooked up, near the horn, I can tell its the ignition because the wires are not connected until the metal parts overlap and touch. There is a RED,GREEN,BLACK AND BLACK/WHITE .

Red to Black = Ignition on
Green to Black/White = Ignition off
If you don't have a key, just hook up red to black and wrap the other 2 wires in electrical tape so you dont short out anything - you dont really have to connect them I dont think.
You should install a switch between red and black so you can discconect the wires easily when the bike is off, otherwise you'll drain the battery.

Ok, got the battery acid in the battery. I hooked it up w/ the red and black ignition wires connected. The brake light came on for a second and the horn beeped(very quietly). My battery came charged so that's not the problem.
I pulled the spark plug out and pressed it against the cylinder head and used a 14mm socket to turn the drive gear since i don't have a kickstart. I got a spark but I'm not sure how strong looking it is supposed to be. The starter motor won't turn. any ideas??

Check your starter relay - you should hear a clicking sound coming from it as you hold the brake in and press the start button. Also make sure the starter motor has a good ground connection
