Howdy! Recently picked up a 1989 Elite 50 With just 1300 miles on it.

Starts with one kick. and moves my 250 lb body about 32 mph. a couple buddies and I must have put about 30 miles on it the day I brought it home.

sorry for the lousy photo.

I'm looking for a mirror and I'll have to search for a few other things on it. This certainly looks like the place for those questions.

Currently it will be the wife's to run back and forth to work and occasionally a pit bike.
The body work is fantastic with just a couple of injuries.

We have hills in the area and the torque is a little lacking. I'm not looking to make it crazy fast, but if it can get up to speed a little quicker or just get going a little bit more i maybe happier. I'd rather not do a BBK because the milage is so low.

I may fab up a front bracket/basket along with a rear basket, but we'll see. That maybe a winter project.

Greetings:

Very nice bike and fantastic (by my own standards... ) Photo!

Just so there's no confusion, the front forks and bodywork suggest that it's an SB50 Elite "E". It matters, a lot. It means the engine block is descended from the beloved NQ50 Spree, and that mods for performance are somewhat limited. Still, agile, light and 30+ MPH all-day-long ain't bad. You can read up on the many differences Here.

better photo.
the schmutz on the front cowling is road grime from having it stick partway out of the trunk while moving it. I haven't even washed this yet.
