Honda Spree and Elite 50 Forums

Hello, My mom brought back one of her old 1986 Honda Spree Scooter that she rode when she rode when she was younger. And we have been trying to fix it for a long time cause it hasnt been started in a while. So we eventually get it to run for at least 7 seconds but then stops..it only starts every one in a while.We have tried putting more gas in,taking some out, spraying things on the engine, we still have the key. It sounds like it wants to start but it just wont......So i was wondering if anyone knows what the problem is...

Did you download the manual? post the actual scooter picture, it will help.

next
old gas has little power left in it so get rid of it !!!! some of us use it to clean parts with it and some just get ride of it!!

then
clean the crab some of us use a spray crab and choke cleaner from the dollar store (2 or 3 cans ) and some use a dip you by at a auto store ..

when that done put the crab back on and the tub to the air box is clamp to it a new or clean air filter is in place and the lid is on snug if what is in large letters is not none you will be wasting your time and mine !!

this is a start by what you stated in your post when its done it should run !! but remember we cant see or hear or look at what going on there so the info you give is all we have to go by..

hay that is what happen when you use spell check and abbreviated words ( yes a friend spelled it for me) i didn't even no till now .. no no hope you laft as munch as i did when i finger it out.. not bright i m
ps is this the same way i should clean the small one i got from the kitty next door ???

You might need a special shampoo for that.

well that's if you don't smoke or drink .. but i do both and the most exercise i do is kick a spree and laff at my self

...thats it! From now on at the shop, I will be referring to all carbs as "crabs"

And on another note, I've never been able to bring myself to eat a crab. (the seafood crab).
-to me they are just too cool with their grabbers and sideways walking. No sir. I will never eat one. That's one more crab in the ocean that someone didnt eat.
