I have a pipe that is supposed to be for that range.

It is too small for my 125cc and too big for my 86cc

It is a RDO pipe Maybe it would work for you.

jetting usually has more to do with the pipe than the bore size.

Your friend is right. The larger displacement, pulls more fuel though the same size jet.

A V8 like this

Mine did not hold up so great. I am getting a scorpion pipe ASAP.

I would use the RDO but it is too small for me.

I bought it from demonk1d a couple months ago. viewtopic.php?f=2&t=18055

I would sell it for the same price I got it. $150

CAPT wrote:Not a bad price... Will have to think it over after i have it jetted... Thoughts on my current build? Thoughts on the eventual top speed Traffic?
What gears, and what size rear tire, and what rpm do you plan to reach?

It will go 68mph......but much quicker than the rumia 51 kit.

I always wanted to build a 50 x 50

I think stroke and bore should be close to achieve high rpms.

Gears are 18x39s. I dont want to run anything lighter than 7gram weights... I think I put in 8s or 7.5s for the moment. Tires are dunlop S1, cant recall at the moment.... RPM, dont really know either, no tach.. I am dont mind flogging the engine, but not looking for a real high revving setup... :)

Put some 6.9 primary gears or 6.3 secondaries (if you can find some)

You would definatly be able to go 70-75 mph. Any faster than that is just silly. :imo:

CAPT wrote:Thanks for the help. I can hit 68 mph with the stock stroke 51.5mm ruima with 8.44s. So, I hope that the 7.50 gears will hit 74 or 75mph assuming I get it tuned in... That would be fine with me for the stroker.... But, for now, I would be happy hitting the 68 MPH again... Will have videos up in the next couple of weeks. :nerd:

If you were getting 68mph out of 8.4 gears you were turning approx 10k rpms.

Assuming your new 50x50 stroker can turn the same rpm's with 7.5 gears 75mph seems about right.

This chart assumes that your variator is maxed out at a 0.85:1 ratio
