Have not found much info on a quick search for 'X-25 Podnik' - sounds 'space age'.

What's the story - no doubt this is rare in the US? The square fins and head make an illusion the piston might be square too, but we know better :P

Here's one link I found of a Jawa and trailer - http://classicscootercollector.com/page/2/

....Yes, it is an-X-25......No, it's not a Podnik...apparently the phrase "Narodny Podnik" translates to "National Project" (loosely)....Both X-25 and X-30 models exist, so I've got the suspected lower hp model....this is a "project", so I'm calling HIM...Rodney Podnik....he's a rocker....he's Ace Cafe....his motto is..."Do the Half-Ton"

I'm sure motormike is on top of this, but if readers are interested - a private page by a Jawa nut.

Greetings:

I sure have enjoyed ogling the Jawa babes, even knowing them to be crusty, Clap-riddled strumpets.
Come to think of it, so were the Jawa products.

Always favoring Durability over any pretense of performance, they were rasty, oily examples of two-stroke mediocrity for the unknowing Eastern-Bloc masses.
Nobody I knew had one, but the rep was uniformly unfavorable.

Later CZ proved that countries behind the Iron Curtain could produce respectable performance, but all of them were flat embarrassed when Yamaha got serious and chased them off the tracks.
Like it or not, Honda-san was a latecomer to 'smoker wizardry, and never really caught up.

.....yeah wheelie,...Jawa was destined to be a loser bike due to Communist government influences... :imo:

....however,...that 500 cc speedway bike that carried the Jawa logo is one wicked mo-sheen...I would even say that it broke through the iron curtain and made quite a strong representation in Speedway racing....as I recall from a short-lived track near my home in Indy, the speedway bikes ran on alchohol with NO brakes.... :surprise:

Nice "bit-o-fluff" that you've shared mouse,....and the Stella is fine.....
