I'm in the middle of painting mine Brook Blue Metallic, the Spree I have was painted flat black by the previous owner and since this looks awful I sanded and picked a new color.

Mine is white, but it looks awful. Maybe if Honda had painted it white instead of just molding the plastic in that color it would've held up over the years. Its starting to turn yellow in some places. :( I'm thinking about painting it (assuming I get it running) but that looks like quite a bit of work.

Painting an old beat up bike is well worth it! Mine looks new with a great glossy finish. It was some work and effort but I'm very happy with the results.

If it's glossy, you shoud sand down the gloss so the paint sticks better. The spree I have was painted flat over the original black surface. The work is well worth it, I will post pics on here by the weekend. I had to sand the paint he put + the gloss finish. I used Brook Blue Plasti-Koat and Glossy Clearcoat.

New paint makes a big difference on the initial impression.
