just received the carb kit from taz today after installing the carb took a long time to start (filling the bowl) then when i did get it started with the chock open and revved high pushed the chock down and died.
cant get it run for more then a few seconds. any one who has this carb how did you get it to run right?

Have you adjusted the idle screw? That's probably why it's revving so high

Check to make sure you installed the carb slide properly. Sometimes if reversed it'll do what yours is doing...

Can you post a pic of your carb, not sure what carb comes in Taz's kit...

If it runs best with the idle mixture clear out the that means that something is too rich. Have you contacted Taz, he is good about customer service?

Ok I just saw this thread. Anytime you have the choke on the idle will go up. So after you push the choke down the bike just dies correct? Check the main jet to make sure it is screwed in all the way. Sometimes from the maker they are loose. Once you have done that check back to this thread. Now you dont have to pull the whole pan off the carb. There is a large threaded plug on the bottom. Just remove that and you will see the jets. Check the main jet to see if it is tight.

I will check the main jet when i get home from work today. with the choke pulled up it revs supper high as in its engaging the clutch and trying to move. then when pushing the chock down it will die. also it is taking a super long time to start. I know is has something to do with my install not the product. thanks for all the help.
