Premium fuel is a waste of time and money unless you have enough compression to require it. There is no more energy in a gallon of premium than there is in a gallon of regular, all the premium does is prevent pre-ignition (AKA pinging). Unless you have compression in the neighborhood of 9.5 to 1 or more, don't bother with the premium.gixxer1000chad wrote:* I'd just run the premium stuff.. It burns cleaner. And it costs less then $4 to fill it up.. You might as well. That's what I do personally.its not really a must I just really don't like to skimp at all on my rides..every thing I have w wheels gets premium..
It is stupid and wasteful.gixxer1000chad wrote:what's 20-30cents ?? Like I said I personally prefer to..as I give all my machines the best fluids and oils..its not needed just preferred.. I take pride in my things..
Your logic is totally flawed. If it does nothing but cost money then by definition it is wasteful, hence stupid if you know it serves no purpose. It must be nice to be so well off that wasting money is not an issue. But many scooter riders ride them because they are trying to save money, so your premise is wrong on so many levels.gixxer1000chad wrote:and it's only a waste to those that think it is..everyone has their own rituals and what not.. And as far as a waste of time..i don't think it takes anymore time to pump premium fuel than it does to pump low octane..if anything it takes less time because it costs just 20 cents more... Just thought I'd point that out ..
You are wrong, I correct * poor or incorrect information, which the internet is famous for. The only a**hole is you because you don't know s*** but run your mouth anyway. But then that pretty much describes you. I know what I know from many more years experience as a professional 2 stroke mechanic and 2 stroke racer than you have and if trying to educate the unknowing hurts your feelings, then tough s***. I get real tired of young know nothings telling me I am wrong when it is them that know not of what they speak. I'm done with thisgixxer1000chad wrote:well all you like to do in pretty much any and every thread I have seen you comment on is argue with people...congrats on being a huge * btw... And insulting people for no reason.. I guess when you know everything and act like you are superior to everyone it's easy to be an a**hole huh??? This is the kind of behavior that turns people from joining quality forums like this one here..i hope one day you can treat people nicely the way they deserve to be treated.... And as for what gasoline to use I'm not going to argue nor did I even try to argue or say that anyone had to use or needed premium..i just got attacked by you bc I choose to use it... And I'm sure I'm not the only one.... Good luck on your next argument you you induce..
I only insult nitwits and morons, you fall in both classes. I have no respect for fools. See in the real world you earn respect and you do that by being knowledgeable about what you a speaking about. You fail on all counts. It is fine if you want to waste your money and destroy your toys but to tell others to do that is not only irresponsible, it is negligent.gixxer1000chad wrote:well please by all means point out where I misinformed or told anyone to do anything *! You should get a life and grow up. apparently you are too old to be acting like a child and going on the internet insulting people...soo petty . Do you see what you have turned this thread into?? Something full of disrespect .. But whatever..like you said you are done..now the thread can carry on..... Use whatever gas you want ..just try to find some without ethanol if you can..That's more important than what octane you run... I'm still sticken to my 93 ethanoless and synthetics... Best reguards and good luck. Sorry your thread went to this childish level.. I appologize on my end ..
