I have no spark. The plug is the same coming off of the stator but the new engine has no green wire. 3 wire plug with 3 wires on the old engine 2 wires in the new 3 wire plug. the color codes are a little different on the two floating wires red/black red/white on new motor red/black Blue yellow on the old one. I have it plug to plug red/black to red/black red/w to yellow blue. No spark every thing else seems right. The guys I bought it from will not return emails and do not answer the phone. LowPriceScooterParts.com
sales@lowpricescooterparts.com Don't know if this is even compatible and what modifications need to be made. I gave them the year and model when I ordered it. I did not notice the stator difference until the engine was all the way installed.
Any help will be appreciated!

The green wire is a ground, so ground it.

Yea the green wire is ground. It comes from the existing frame it is actually ground. There is no green wire in the plug coming from the engine. There is actually no wire in that position. So, what would you suggest I ground?

Nearest screw or bolt on the engine.

Pay attention there cupcake. The engine is grounded. the green wire is ground coming from the frame. You are actually not any help and just a wise *. Not in the least entertaining either.

Actually the negative terminal on the battery is ground and if the wire from the battery's negative terminal does not connect to the engine case, then the engine is NOT ground. I worked as a mechanic (both 2 and 4 stroke) for years and in electronics while in the service and I am sure I know more about this than you do. Besides that, what is wrong with "Nearest nut or bolt on the engine." If the electric start is working and he does not say it is not, then the engine is ground.
