Does anyone know if the af16 and af18 throttle/oilpump cables are the same?

The guy i might buying it from, said these are the measurements...

"70 inches from the throttle end to the carb
75 inches to the oil pump side."

Im not sure what year my donor engine is though, its from(if i can remeber corretly) the 94-01 dio

I have a 89 sb50p that its goin on. Im more concerned it the cables have the right connections for the oil pump/ throttle

There is no spec for length given on the cable. Besides that the SB50P is a single cable with no pump leg and the SA50 cable is a dual cable.

I need a dual cable cuz my oil pump is supposed to have a cable, im swapping in an af16

Just wire the pump to WOT and use the single cable.

I was told i could do that, but wouldnt is affect anything? Or wont it matter?

It will smoke a little more at idle but it will not hurt the scooter's motor.

Here is a picture of the actual cable from my Dio. It was a JDM 1989 Dio SP.
Maybe bear can confirm it will work for the AF16. Im pretty sure it should be the same as the engines are identical.

Of course it will work. You might have to change the slide but that is no biggie.

Well, i have decided to go premix, what is the best premix ratio for the af16e?

everyone around here generally does 32:1. if you are going premix you should invest in an oil plug and remove the oil pump all together. VT cycles has them for 10 bucks

If you are going to go premix (a major PIA IMHO) you need to get an oil pump plug and remove the oil pump or it will eventually seize on you causing bad damage to the engine.

Ok, ill buy a plug, whats a good ratio?
