Flat vs. round carbs

OKO offers Flat side & round carbs...

What's the advantages/ disadvantages of each type/ style?

Tunability any different?


Please share your thoughts/ experiences with these types of carbs. :smile:

The flat slide carbs have a more crisper throttle response. The round slide is cheaper.

A picture is worth a thousand words. But I dont have a picture.

On the a round slide carb. The bore where the slide goes up and down is round to accommodate the round slide(I know you know this im just trying to paint the picture) , so picture when the slide is open it leaves a half moon cutout on either side of the venturi. The half moon divets cause the air flow to eddy which ends up limiting air flow.
