If it runs good without the box... maybe try getting a pod filter? It could possibly be a little quieter with the pod filter and the ones I have had on other bikes do not really restrict your air like the stock box. The uni filters look like they could muffle some sound, too ;But I have no experience with them. If that doesn't make it quieter then you may just have to deal with it. Surely it's not THAT much louder is it? Or do you just like with the way the stock box looks and don't want to get rid of it?

you risk seizing the motor without the stock airbox on with a stock carb. the fixed pilot jet is to small. so never recommend putting a pod on a stock carb.

Who said he had a stock bike? Sorry, I thought he said he had a bigger jet and and a piston kit....

hey AndySzrHands
can you explain what you mean by
"jetted carb and piston upgrade"?
the more details you provide for us, the better we can help provide workable solutions

why not cut out the front area of the stock air box? You can make it look like this real easy.
