I am re-building my 85' spree and i saw a new piston and rings for 48 bucks on ebay. They are RIK brand. The price didnt seem too bad at all so i bought it. It is stock size. Before it gets here and i make a mistake from putting in a worthless piston has anyone else used this brand before? it looks decent in the picture but that doesnt meen anything. Thanks-Nate

From Chop chop right?

I bought one of these. Quality seems OK. Its in my running scooter right now with no problems.

The RIK pistons and rings are used in the 44mm and 48mm bbk

I have RIK pistons in one of my race scooters.

The RIK rings will not fit the stock piston because they are too thick.

yes from chop-chop. I ordered the RIK piston and rings because i knew that the rik rings would not fit on the stock piston. Also, i am converting to a pre-mix setup so i can eliminate my oil pump but i do not have any idea on where the vacuum lines go. I have never worked on one of these until now. Thank you for your help-Nate

the only vacuum line goes from the intake to the fuel petcock.

the extra nipple on the intake that used to be for oil needs to be blocked off so that the engine does not run lean from an air leak.

The oil pump can be looped back to itself or removed all together.

Why are you taking out the oil pump?

Chop Chop is on this site also. His name is Tazland. I had great success with his BBK, gears, and carb. He knows his stuff.
